“Some girls go crazy for love. They act like mindless zombies, acting solely on their instincts. Love makes even the smartest girls dumb. They would do things that they would otherwise never do. Things including but not limited to:
a. Doing stuff they don’t want to, just to please a guy.
b. Acting like a totally different person.
c. Stealing someone else’s boyfriend.
You know the kind of girl I’m talking about. They go to your high school too. You make snide comments about them. You talk about them during lunch. You wonder how someone could possibly do the things they do. You abhor them and yet, you are strangely fascinated by them.
I’ve always been fairly level headed. I look at things from a logical perspective and I never let my feelings control my actions. I am certainly not the kind of girl who would do outrageous things for love. I am not the kind of girl who would do anything outrageous, period. I try really hard to blend in, to not stand out in any way. I am pretty much invisible and to be honest, I like it that way. Or at least that’s what I used to think.
I never really thought that I would become that kind of girl, until the day that I actually did.”
—An except from something I’m working on for NaNoWriMo. Far less pretentious, but ten times lamer and more retarded than the one I did last year.
